Lankayan Island 4 Days/3 Nights
(for non-divers)

 Lankayan is a virtually uninhabited island, located in the Sulu Sea, an interesting 2-hour boat ride from Sandakan or a 1-hour ride from Selingan Island. Offering untouched coral reefs, vast empty white beaches and dense tropical forests, the island is a great place to explore or simply to relax.

We have created in Lankayan a truly beautiful resort, not only for discerning divers and snorkelers but for anyone who appreciates the serenity and tranquility of a paradise island - white sandy beaches, swaying casuarinas pines, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Despite the remoteness we are proud to offer all the amenities of a tropical resort. Bungalows are made out of local wooden materials to blend into the natural surroundings that feature ceiling fans, washrooms and direct access to the beach. Welcome to Asia's best kept secret.

Idea

Lankayan is a great addition to either the turtles & Primates or Jungle & Wildlife tours. A 3 day/2 night stay is recommended.

Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Depart Sandakan at 10am by boat as you head deep into the Sulu Seas. Arrival at approximately 12noon. Welcome to Asia's best kept secret. Lunch is served on the Canteen sundeck overlooking the white beach and blue waters of the Sulu Seas. (Overnight Lankayan Island - Includes Lunch and Dinner)
  • Day 2 - 3
    Spend your day relaxing on the deserted beach, snorkeling, diving, exploring the coral reefs in the crystal clear blue waters or indulging in water sports such as windsurfing, sailboats or ocean kayaking. Enjoy freshly prepared seafood dinners while watching the sunset on your remote island paradise far removed from the everyday world. (Overnight Lankayan Island - Includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
  • Day 4
    Early morning departure. Arrival at Sandakan at approximately 9am. (Includes Breakfast)
